The past month has been an absolute explosion of shipping and sorting; my life has been absolutely eclipsed by packages, but I'm excited to say that every order that can be sent right now has been!  You should have received your tracking number (via email) if you haven't already gotten your pledge by now - if you haven't then please check your Backerkit account at: 

There are still over 40 people who either haven't finished answering their surveys yet, or that added on items but their cards are in error so the order can't be filled, your Backerkit account will show that status. If your account shows 'fulfilled' that means your package was shipped, otherwise it will let you know of the error in your status. I'm so excited to share that the pins have cleared port and are scheduled to be delivered to me later this week, so the big flurry of sorting, packing, and shipping is about to begin!

Please double check your shipping address is correct, especially if you've moved in the last few months. You should get an email that your shipping address is locking down (changes no longer able to be made) - if you don't get that email please check your spam filters and whitelist my email, [email protected] because that is how your tracking information will be sent as soon as your package is on its way! 

You can check your account, pledge, and status anytime at: foxfeather.backerkit.com  - It's also your last chance to add any items you may want to grab at the pre-order discount, to ship with your pledge: 

Expect to get your tracking information by the end of March: Shipping is going to take a few weeks for me to complete, so don't worry if someone local to you gets theirs and you haven't (it's not done by location but by items ordered, so delivery will be staggered). I can pack and send about 100 packages a day, but I have over 1400 packages to work through so it will take some time. I'll be working as quickly as I can, I greatly appreciate your patience. If it's still March and you aren't sure if your order has shipped yet, please check your status at Backerkit first before reaching out, your order there will show a status of 'Fulfilled' if it's on its way.

If you'll be moving in March/April:  If you're worried that your package may be misdelivered because of a move, please reach out to me now. I can put a hold on your order until you're at your new location to be sure it won't get lost in the shuffle. 

There are still 40 people who haven't answered (or partially answered but didn't complete) their surveys yet - if this is you, I can't get your items out until you do so, so if you've been waiting please make sure you get check that ASAP.

December Update - Visionary Vultures 3 Pins Progress & Sample Photos

Season's Greetings from the crew here at the Foxloft! 

I have some really fun pin updates for you, as I've started to get sample and process photos as they're being made! In case you didn't check out the prior post about all the work that goes into making your pins and why it takes so long, here's the Link to previous update full of information about the pin-making process!

You may notice the silver color, all the pins start out this way. These are the base metal forms that hold the enamel filling; they get their final finish plating as the last step. 

Since the enamel is filled by hand it often runs over the metal lines while being worked on. To make hard enamel pins, after the enamel is baked at high temperatures to cure, this all gets polished on a special jewelry grinder to make the final surface smooth and flat.

Here is the finished magpie mini-pin (an optional add-on available via the Backerkit store by popular request)!

A sample of the gray wolf pin, which turned out absolutely lovely!

Right now all the pins, pendants, and earrings are partway through production and we are on schedule. A few of the designs are still being tweaked for final color, but most are now approved and in progress. Thank you for your patience during this time; making all the individual pins is a slow, intensive process, but the quality is worth the wait!

I will continue to update you once a month with progress; I will be in touch again in late January to share more sample photos. By that time I should have a better idea then of when they'll be finished and ready to ship to me. Getting here takes usually 1-2 months in transit once they're on their way, I can't wait to get the notices that they're all packed and heading here!
